The Rosary Bracelet
All Dedicated to Mother Mary
While I feel very comfortable saying mother Mary (well because just like so many my mom's name is Mary)I always feel I have to explain who I'm talking about. So I call one mother and one mom. Mother Mary being Queen of Heaven and Earth.
When I address her I always call her mother (I call my mom ma. I'm not sure if that's a NYC thing or not). And throughout time she has always told us she is our mother, given to us officially from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ from the cross. I love thinking about what she said to St. Juan Diego, “Am I not here? I who am your mother?…” She was and is always there for me in such a real and tangible way.
When I was a teenager I was very unhappy for many reasons (too many to list here) and I don't know if it was my guardian angel or the Holy Spirit but one day during the pure agony of my female cycle the thought came to me to pray for relief of the pain, fever and illness (that neither of my sisters had…just sayin') but in my ignorance I believed I couldn't pray to Jesus about that since he was male I had to pray to Mary she's a woman and would understand. Everytime and I mean everytime the pain would subside while praying to her. Eventually I just kept praying The Memorare and pictured myself wrapped under the protection of her mantle until I fell asleep. This continued until well I was finished with it altogether about a year or so ago now. I guess you can say I consecrated myself to her immaculate heart before knowing what that even was yet.
You might be saying to yourself ok but there's probably an explanation why that happened, the strength of the mind something, something, something . The explanation was she heard and answered my prayer. She's done amazing things in my life and maybe I'll tell you about them another time.
I hope you enjoy my small attempt at interpretation of the life of the Holy Family and my Jesus through the creation of these rosary inspired things. Thanks for checking them out.
Thank You Lord Jesus for our mother Mary.
